Artist's Description
My inspiration for this painting came from watching the life
story of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. My vision is in sharp contrast to Frida's
symbolic portrayals of physical and pyschological wounds but I saw
the strength and beauty of this determined woman/fellow artist and it
moved me to paint this renaissance madonna.
