About Kim Whitton
Hi and Welcome to my Fine Art America site!
My name is Kim Whitton and I'm a self taught artist from the foothills of the Rocky Mountains of Alberta,Canada. My artistic career has included work in pastels, pen and ink, charcoal and watercolor has ranged from juried shows and competitions to gallery exhibitions and international sales....spanning over twenty five years. My works are in now in public and private galleries throughout North America, Europe and Asia.
I now live in the Pineywoods of East Texas and consider myself to be an "Artist on the Farm" as I paint from my country studio surrounded by hundreds of acres of forests, fields and trickling creeks. My inspiration surrounds me and helps me to express my feelings from my brush straight to your heart.
Step inside a mystical world of Fairies, Mermaids and Angels that are sure to inspire or have a peek at my critters....pets and animals that we all love and adore!
For a change of pace I will also take you back to my roots with visions of "days gone by" or inspirational landscapes. My first love in art was portraits of First Nation peoples and Cowboys of the old west.....which is a part of my history. Now, you might find some Southern Americana mixed in with our culture today.
I hope you enjoy seeing the world of today and yesteryear......through my eyes!
